ABOUT
Anežka Rusevová is a Prague- and Berlin-based actress working across film, television, and theatre.
She trained at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts (DAMU) in Prague and at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin, she brings a strong physical presence and emotional precision to her work.
She is drawn to characters who hold the center of the story — complex, self-possessed women who resist simplification. Her work moves between strength and vulnerability, control and unpredictability, and alongside powerful dramatic performances, she also demonstrates a strong comedic talent.
She recently completed the German historical feature Block 10 (dir. Marcus O. Rosenmüller), in which she portrays Margit Neumann. The film will celebrate its world premiere at the Munich Film Festival in 2026. She has also appeared in international productions such as Avenue of the Giants / The Optimist (dir. Finn Taylor).
Alongside her international work, she continues to work in Czech film and television, including the award-winning feature Tancuj, Matyldo!, Cesta domů, and the short film Příspěvek na bydlení.
She performs regularly on leading Prague stages, including Studio DVA Theatre and Činoherní klub, maintaining a strong connection to theatre.
Fluent in Czech, German, English, and French, Anežka works internationally and is drawn to visually distinctive, psychologically driven storytelling.

World Premiere of Block 10 at Filmfest München
Anežka appears as Margit Neumann in the historical feature Block 10, directed by Marcus O. Rosenmüller. The film celebrates its world premiere at Filmfest München on 3 July 2026.

Premiere of Pět švestek
The Czech feature film Pět švestek directed by Jan Svěrák, premiered in May 2026. Anežka appears in the film in a supporting role.
